Photos are typically approved in 1 minute. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-layout-flex wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-charlotte-green-background-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/services.help.charlotte.edu\/TDClient\/33\/Portal\/KB\/Article\/5003\/How-do-I-set-up-and-manage-my-49er-Mobile-ID\">How to Submit a Photo<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Photo Submission Guidelines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Your ID photo must be a current picture of you<\/strong> taken in accordance with the <a href=\"https:\/\/travel.state.gov\/content\/passports\/en\/passports\/photos\/photos.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S Department of State Passport Standards<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Acceptable:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Current color photo in .jpg format<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>White smooth background required<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Centered, front view of full face<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cropped from just above the top of the head down to the collarbone<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proper lighting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Eyes open and visible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Straight face or smile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wear prescription glasses if you normally do so<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Head coverings allowed if you wear it daily for religious purposes\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Full face must be visible<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Covering cannot obscure hairline or cast shadows on face<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Unacceptable:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wearing a hat, sunglasses, or anything that obscures the face<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No shadows on the face, glare on glasses, or red eye<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Other visible people or objects in the photo<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No props or hand gestures allowed<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inappropriate expressions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Copyrighted images<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Examples:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/167\/2023\/04\/online-photo.jpg\" alt=\"Online photo submission examples\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If your photo has not been accepted, you will receive an email with an explanation and a link for re-submission. All communication from the 49er Card Office will be sent to your UNC Charlotte email address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accepted Photo ID<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first time you set up your 49er ID, you must submit a government-issued photo ID through the <a href=\"https:\/\/l.linklyhq.com\/l\/1Xzzs\">Transact eAccounts app<\/a> or bring your ID in person to the 49er ID Office in the Popp Martin Student Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Accepted Forms of Photo ID<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Active driver\u2019s license or state ID card issued by any U.S. state or territory<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Active U.S. passport or passport card<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Canadian driver&#8217;s license or passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreign passport with active U.S. visa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U.S. green card (permanent resident card)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>U.S. military ID<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Not Accepted Forms of Photo ID<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A photocopied ID of any kind<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>High school ID<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ID from another college or university<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreign passport without U.S. visa<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Foreign driver&#8217;s license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have any questions please contact the 49er Card Office<br>at 704-687-7337 or at <a href=\"mailto:49erCard@charlotte.edu\">49erCard@charlotte.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 49er Card\u2019s online photo submission process enables UNC Charlotte students, faculty, staff and guests to upload their 49er ID Card photo in Transact eAccounts.
