{"id":7935,"date":"2024-05-21T11:40:28","date_gmt":"2024-05-21T15:40:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/?p=7935"},"modified":"2024-05-21T11:40:36","modified_gmt":"2024-05-21T15:40:36","slug":"49er-id-office-moves-to-single-49er-id-option-for-incoming-niners","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cws.charlotte.edu\/backup-aux\/2024\/05\/21\/49er-id-office-moves-to-single-49er-id-option-for-incoming-niners\/","title":{"rendered":"49er ID Office moves to single 49er ID option for incoming Niners"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Summary of what\u2019s changing:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Incoming students, faculty and staff will receive the <a href=\"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/49er-mobile-id\/\">49er Mobile ID<\/a> as their default credential option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceptions may be granted in person for students without a compatible smartphone.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Current students, faculty and staff may continue to use both a physical ID card and their 49er Mobile ID if they have already been issued both until the credential expires or needs to be renewed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As of May 1st for incoming students and July 1, 2024, for new faculty and staff, the 49er ID and Meal Plan Office is requiring UNC Charlotte faculty, staff and students to adopt the 49er Mobile ID.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Incoming students<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Students enrolled in New Student Orientation (NSO) will receive instructions for <a href=\"https:\/\/services.help.charlotte.edu\/TDClient\/33\/Portal\/KB\/ArticleDet?ID=1275\">how to set up their 49er Mobile ID<\/a> using the <a href=\"https:\/\/l.linklyhq.com\/l\/1Xzzs\">Transact eAccounts app<\/a> prior to coming to campus in their Canvas NSO module.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All incoming students are strongly encouraged to submit their photos and add their 49er Mobile ID to their digital wallet before their assigned NSO session. View <a href=\"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/49er-card\/online-photo-submission\">photo submission guidelines<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Staff from the 49er ID Office will be on hand to assist students and test 49er Mobile IDs at the Resource Fair throughout the summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">New faculty and staff<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Newly hired faculty and staff will be instructed to set up their 49er Mobile ID during the New Employee Orientation process.
