{"id":849,"date":"2021-05-31T15:26:12","date_gmt":"2021-05-31T19:26:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/spring-dining-and-meal-plan-information\/"},"modified":"2024-04-30T11:27:08","modified_gmt":"2024-04-30T15:27:08","slug":"spring-dining-and-meal-plan-information","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cws.charlotte.edu\/backup-aux\/news\/2021-02-26\/spring-dining-and-meal-plan-information\/","title":{"rendered":"Spring dining and meal plan information"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dineoncampus.com\/unccharlotte\">Dine on Campus<\/a> (download for <a href=\"https:\/\/play.google.com\/store\/apps\/details?id=com.roaringsky.dineoncampus&amp;hl=en_US&amp;gl=US\">Android<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.apple.com\/us\/app\/dine-on-campus\/id1170602720\">iOS<\/a>) provides dining hours, menus, nutrition and allergen information and upcoming events.<\/p>\n<h3>Here\u2019s what you can expect when dining on campus this spring:<\/h3>\n<h4>All dining purchases are cashless<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Payment options include University meal plans, Declining Balance (DB), Optional Dining Account (ODA), 49er Account, debit\/credit cards, Google Pay, Samsung Pay and Apple Pay.<\/li>\n<li>All retail orders must be placed through the <a href=\"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/dining\/mobile-ordering\">Niner Diners Mobile Ordering app<\/a> or kiosks at select locations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>All-you-care to eat and to-go options at SoVi<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Be sure to check the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.safespace.io\/api\/display\/live-occupancy\/15da3cfa?view=percent--\">dining hall capacity<\/a> before you go. Dining occupancy is restricted to 50%, SoVi will convert to to-go only once it hits 60 &#8211; 70 percent of the 50 percent capacity (265 or more people).<\/li>\n<li>Consider dining during off-peak dinner hours such as between 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. or 8 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.<\/li>\n<li>Tables are limited to four people for your safety. Do not move furniture or gather around tables to accommodate more guests.<\/li>\n<li>Practice social distancing while waiting in line and moving about the dining hall floor. Masks must be worn anytime you are not eating.<\/li>\n<li>Taking your food to-go is still the safest way to dine. You may use the provided compostable to-go box or opt into the <a href=\"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/news\/2018-11-16\/vending-update\">Ozzi program<\/a> &#8212; a reusable, sustainable to-go container. Ozzi boxes may be purchased with campus spending accounts, 49er Account, DB, ODA and debit\/credit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>To-go options at Crown2Go<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Use the <a href=\"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/dining\/mobile-ordering\">Niner Diners Mobile Ordering<\/a> app to place your order.<\/li>\n<li>Be sure to check the wait time in the app before ordering.<\/li>\n<li>Dinner is the busiest time. Consider ordering before 6 p.m. or after 7:30 p.m. to minimize your wait.<\/li>\n<li>Pick up your order on the second floor of the Student Union; avoid crowding the hallway outside of Crown2Go until you are notified that your order is ready.<\/li>\n<li>Customize your order using the Allergies and Special Requests option at checkout in the Niner Diners Mobile Ordering app as necessary.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>New ways to use a meal swipe<\/h5>\n<ul>\n<li>Starting in early March, meal swipes may be used to purchase Fresh2U sandwich or salad combos and Subway 6\u201d sandwich combos at Market on Craver and SoVi Market.<\/li>\n<li>Meal swipes are also accepted at Crown2Go and SoVi.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Dining Services is committed to providing a safe, clean and healthy dining environment for the campus community.<\/p>\n<h3>What to expect: retail dining<\/h3>\n<h3>What to expect: dining halls<\/h3>\n<p>We love hearing from you.
