Here are a few noteworthy examples:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The University continued to build and plan for the future through the development of a 10-year <a href=\"https:\/\/inside.charlotte.edu\/news-features\/2023-02-10\/university-launches-campus-master-plan-discovery-survey\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">comprehensive campus master plan<\/a> that supports the strategic plan and the University\u2019s vision as a Carnegie R1 university focused on student success.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The opening of new spaces designed to foster stronger sense of student community, including <a href=\"https:\/\/housing.charlotte.edu\/housing-options\/buildings\/wilson-hall\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dont\u00e1 L. Wilson Hall<\/a>, a 147,000-square-foot residence hall with capacity for nearly 700 students, and the 49th Acre, an outdoor student event venue funded through a $10 million private gift.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The introduction of new options in the Popp Martin Student Union including <a href=\"https:\/\/aux.charlotte.edu\/news\/amazon\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>the Market powered by Amazon\u2019s Just Walkaway technology<\/strong><\/a>, the first of its kind in the North Carolina higher-ed space, and Social 704, a newly renovated dining hall that won a state design award. Planning also began on a new dedicated ESports space in Norm\u2019s Loft, funded through a $1.5 million allocation from the General Assembly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The $60 million Phase I expansion of Jerry Richardson Stadium, approved by the Board of Governors, will feature the construction of a tower and the augmentation of stadium capacity, which underscores Charlotte\u2019s dedication to providing a top-tier athletic environment for students, alumni and the broader community. The club level will serve as a dedicated team dining area, meeting facility and conference space, enabling year-round use.\u00b7 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Renovations to key
