{"id":4587,"date":"2024-10-08T10:53:23","date_gmt":"2024-10-08T14:53:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cws.charlotte.edu\/backup-chancellor\/?page_id=4587"},"modified":"2025-05-27T11:27:49","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T15:27:49","slug":"bov","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cws.charlotte.edu\/backup-chancellor\/university-leadership\/bov\/","title":{"rendered":"Board of Visitors"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Established in October 2024, the UNC Charlotte Board of Visitors assists the Chancellor and the University\u2019s Board of Trustees with carrying out the University\u2019s mission to serve the Charlotte region, the State of North Carolina and beyond through education, research and community outreach.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board of Visitors:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Advocates for the University\u2019s mission&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consults the University\u2019s leadership to ensure alignment of its strategies<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Provides valuable feedback on key initiatives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Communicates broadly about the impact that the University offers the community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">selection of members<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Board of Visitors consists of well recognized leaders and key influencers from a variety of disciplines and backgrounds, including businesses, civic organizations, foundations, governments and distinguished alumni.
