The University is being assisted in the search by TurnkeyZRG. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Previous Updates<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Jan. 12, 2026<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Search Committee Appointed to Identify Next Director of Athletics<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNC Charlotte will begin the process to identify its next director of athletics in mid-January 2026. Chancellor Sharon L. Gaber will chair the search committee, with other members to include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Dont\u00e1 L. Wilson, Chair, UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>David R. Ravin, Member, UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Katie Renaut, Senior Associate Athletic Director for Governance and Regulatory Affairs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The committee will be assisted by TurnkeyZRG. It is anticipated a new director of athletics will be in place by March 2026. The job description will be available on the TurnkeyZRG website by mid-January. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UNC Charlotte community is encouraged to <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSe6HQsh-un_jl5mDEhDkagrh1R-913Xbk8pAIXj2Deco9D-jw\/viewform?usp=header\">provide input to the search committee<\/a>.
