As one of just two accredited architecture programs in North Carolina, the David R. Ravin School of Architecture (SoA) capitalizes on our location in the state\u2019s largest and fastest-growing city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SoA offers a range of undergraduate and graduate degrees to meet different interests and career goals, including the only Master of Urban Design degree in the state. Our award-winning faculty educate students to become licensed architects, practitioners in related fields, researchers in emerging technologies, and advocates for the built environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SoA has nearly 3,500 alumni who make contributions to architecture and related disciplines in nearly 700 cities worldwide. More than 500 UNC Charlotte architecture alumni live and work in Charlotte, with the SoA represented in nearly every local design office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The SoA celebrates our home in the College of Arts + Architecture \u2013 a creative constellation of visual arts, performance and design disciplines that is unique in the Carolinas and rare in the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On November 18, 2022, the UNC Charlotte School of Architecture was named for alumnus David R. Ravin \u201994,<\/a> president and CEO of Northwood Ravin LLC, a leading full-service development, construction and property management firm and one of the Charlotte area\u2019s largest commercial real estate developers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
