UNC Charlotte\u2019s David R. Ravin School of Architecture was one of the first programs to adopt IPAL, which provides students an opportunity to complete the experience and examination requirements for licensure concurrently with the education requirement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By integrating the education, experience, and examination requirements of licensure, IPAL helps students prepare for life after college by:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Connecting education to current architectural practice<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jumpstarting their careers with work experience and networking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making students eligible for licensure after graduation by completing licensure requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Opening up career opportunities through licensure<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Helping students manage the financial burden of earning a degree, both by interweaving paid employment opportunities around academic requirements and by qualifying them for higher paying positions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For more about the IPAL program, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ncarb.org\/become-architect\/ipal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">please visit the NCARB website<\/a>.
