Archeworks<\/a>, a Chicago-based lab dedicated to public interest design. The project is a spatial response to Archeworks\u2019 Social Construction research on the complex social, psychological, and emotional dimensions of public housing, housing insecurity, and social injustice. Between July 30 and August 10, the installation was constructed on four different sites in Chicago. A version of the installation will be constructed this fall during the Chicago Architecture Biennial and will eventually be installed in the National Public Housing Museum in Chicago.<\/p>\nWhile in Chicago, the School of Architecture students joined students from a consortium of architecture programs responding to the Archeworks research. They return to Chicago in October for the Biennial, where they will make a presentation. The task is to translate and transform the research documentation into built form that makes the challenges of public housing in Chicago visible and generates community dialogue.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
