Four faculty members will participate in various presentations and discussions in Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, and New York.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cws.charlotte.edu\/backup-coaa\/people\/nadia-anderson\">Nadia Anderson<\/a>, Associate Professor of Architecture and Urban Design, will participate as a panelist on \u201cDesign for Social Impact\u201d at the 105<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Conference of the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture (ACSA). The event will be held in Detroit, Michigan, from March 23-25. (Jos\u00e9 Gamez, UNC Charlotte School of Architecture Assistant Director and Associate Professor, was <a href=\"http:\/\/cws.charlotte.edu\/backup-coaa\/news\/school-of-architectures-gamez-named-acsa-regional-director\">recently named ACSA Mid Atlantic Regional Director<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cws.charlotte.edu\/backup-coaa\/people\/ming-chun-lee\">Ming-Chun Lee<\/a>, Assistant Professor of Architecture, will also present at the ACSA Annual Conference. His paper, &#8220;The Mediated Community: A Historical View,&#8221; will be discussed during the Addressability session of the meeting. Additionally, Lee will present his paper &#8220;Building a University City: An Exploration in Connecting Economic Development to Place-Making&#8221; at the 47th Urban Affairs Association Conference in Minneapolis, Minnesota from April 19-22. <\/p>\n<p>Assistant Professor of Architecture Charles Davis will present \u201cHistories of Observation in Architecture\u201d as part of the \u201cOne Complex Situation: Histories of Observation in Architecture\u201d conference held at Princeton University on April 7.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cws.charlotte.edu\/backup-coaa\/people\/lee-gray\">Lee Gray<\/a>, Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Professor of Architectural History, will present a paper, \u201cRiding High in the Age of Masonry: Elevators in Office Buildings, 1870-1875\u201d in the symposium \u201cThe Rise of Skyscraper City: All the Tall Buildings in Manhattan, 1874-1900\u201d.
