Dr. Conner is an expert on the early years of dance criticism in the United States and has written extensively about the relationship between newspaper dance criticism and the development of the field of American modern dance. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rem.routledge.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism<\/em><\/a> is the most comprehensive resource available for the study of the Modernist period and includes essays in Literature, Architecture, Visual Arts, Music, Dance, Theatre, Film and Intellectual Currents.
