Professor of Theatre Bruce Auerbach is the guest lighting designer for a current production of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream<\/em> at the University of South Carolina (USC). The production is presented by the USC Department of Theatre and Dance and runs September 30-October 8.<\/p>\n Directed by Robert Richmond, the artistic director of the theatre program, the production design heightens the play’s world of imagination and magic, with surrealist elements.<\/p>\n Since 1982 Professor Auerbach has created stage designs for more than two hundred regional theatre and university productions for both theatre and dance.
