Congratulations to architecture students Kel Cooper and Nathalie Slobodiuk, who have received diplomas to mark completion of the Masters of Architecture from the College of Architecture and Urban Planning<\/a> at Tongji University in Shanghai, China. Kel and Nathalie are the first students in the three-year Masters of Architecture II dual degree program that UNC Charlotte shares with Tongji University.<\/p>\n

The program requires 32 credits completed at UNC Charlotte in the first and third year of study; students spend the second year abroad in China. During that year at Tongji University, students study Chinese history, culture, and language as well as work on a thesis project, complete an internship, and take elective courses.<\/p>\n

Kel, who is from Edenton, NC, and Nathalie, who is from Los Angeles, CA, spent the 2014-15 academic year in China and will complete the UNC Charlotte requirements this spring, graduating in May.<\/p>\n
