Theatre major Amberlin McCormick will perform leading roles in two upcoming regional productions. Beginning Friday, April 19, she will perform the role of Eurydice in the Warehouse Performing Arts Center production of Sarah Ruhl\u2019s Eurydice. <\/em>The show runs at the Warehouse, in Cornelius, through May 4<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In July, Amberlin will perform the role of Viola in a production of Shakespeare\u2019s Twelfth Night<\/em>, directed by Ted Lange, at the National Black Theatre Festival <\/a>in Winston-Salem. Amberlin played Viola in the Department of Theatre production of Twelfth Night<\/em> in November.<\/p>\n

Amberlin will graduate in May with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. In the fall, she will attend the University of Tennessee to pursue a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre with a concentration in acting<\/a>. Named one of the best MFA acting programs in the country by the Hollywood Reporter<\/em>, the UT program accepts just eight actors out of more than 700 who audition, offering them a full-ride scholarship plus a stipend. MFA students receive extensive performing experience at the Clarence Brown Theatre.<\/p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
