Seth’s love for music and music education runs deep and has led him to a life of pursing these passions. He is currently the new Assistant Professor of Music Education at Texas A&M University- Corpus Cristi. In the past, he has also served on the faculties of Western Illinois University and Augustana College, and was a teacher of first through fifth grade music classes at two elementary schools in Thomasville, NC. He spent seven years teaching in the North Carolina public schools before entering higher education. Seth has also presented research at the State and National levels in regards to the invisible work of elementary music teachers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My education from UNC Charlotte prepared me for the real world. I learned so much in Ear Training and Theory that I should be prepared to teach anything that comes my way. I also benefited greatly from my General Music Methods class where I received hands on experience teaching chorus. My student teaching experience was the highlight of my undergraduate degree. I was able to employ everything I learned at UNC Charlotte and learn from a great, experienced teacher.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
