I actually joined because my older sister was in dance and I really enjoyed watching ballet as a kid, so I asked my mom to enroll me in ballet classes. I continued my dance education at Gaston Dance all the way up until senior year of high school.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What kind of career do you hope to have?<\/strong><br>I\u2019m not really sure yet. I hope to one day possibly join a dance company somewhere for a few years before I continue a career with my psychology degree.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What is your favorite thing about the Department of Dance?<\/strong><br>My favorite thing about the UNC Charlotte dance department is the community. Everyone is so welcoming and supportive of one another, and it\u2019s just a really good and fun environment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Do you participate in any community activities or work in the Charlotte arts community?&nbsp;<\/strong><br>I am in the Charlotte Ballet Professional Training Certification Program. The program offers the student to take classes at Charlotte Ballet with the academy. I go about 3 times a week, and am able to expand on my ballet technique. I think this program is an amazing opportunity for anyone who is looking to have more serious training in ballet in college, and it\u2019s really why I chose to attend UNC Charlotte!&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>When you are not in class, studying, or working, what do you like to do for fun?<\/strong><br>I enjoy going uptown and getting food with my friends.
