Our 7 Units & Offices

We have six units to help navigate every part of the research and innovation journey. If you’re faculty, you will likely interface with most of the offices listed below. If you’re a partner (community, industry, non-profit, healthcare, government, or business), you will primarily interface with the Office of Research Commercialization and Partnerships.

The Center for Research Excellence provides consultation services to faculty who are developing grant proposals, helping guide the initial phases of proposal development and offers professional development to help position faculty for large-scale grants.

The Office of Research Services is the central administrative office for managing proposal submissions. And often in tandem with CRE, offers trainings and workshops to help prepare faculty and staff for various phases of grant development and submission.

The Office of Research Protections and Integrity (ORPI) works to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, and University policies. ORPI focuses on award integrity and protecting humans and animals involved in research.

The Office of Grants and Contracts Administration provides transactional support to college-based post-award staff and is responsible for overall sponsored program financial reporting and compliance.

Elevating economic development and accelerating innovation through partnerships with research, industry, government, healthcare, and more… plus helping bring ideas and innovation
to the marketplace.

The Budget & Personnel Office manages Division of Research (DR) administrative and financial operations. This includes supporting DR Offices, organizations, programs, and events.
